Windows Live Writer beta released

About the 14th August, Microsoft released a beta version of Windows Live Writer.  A WYSIWYG offline editor for Blogging.  Initially designed to interact with Live Space, it now supports most blog servers that use the standard Blogging API’s.  Word Press is just one of them.

This article is written using Live Writer, which includes spell checking, full formatting. It even picks up the style sheet from your site.

You can even insert pictures, that automatically get uploaded.  Apply border styles, such as shadow or photo paper (above).

This picture was taken at Cogolin, in france.

The map was inserted from within the editor, which is integrated into Virtual Earth. (pity it’s not google earth, their images are higher resolution)
